John Paul West serves as President of West Commercial Realty, an independent, full service commercial real estate brokerage company that he founded in 2012. West Commercial Realty was formed in response to the desire of Phil Baker, formerly President of Magellan Commercial Realty, to step into semi-retirement. Thusly, Magellan was folded into West Commercial Realty in October 2012 where John Paul has been joined by Phil. John Paul's real estate experience includes tenant and landlord representation, land sales, investment sales and strategic development focused on the Dallas - Fort Worth market.

John Paul joined Magellan in 2007 where he  served as Vice-President. He specialized in Tenant Representation transactions in the Dallas/Fort Worth region and provided special assistance to the President on a variety of special assignments.

John Paul graduated from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University in 2007 with a Business Administration degree in Management as well as a minor in Spanish. During his junior and senior years, John Paul worked with several business associates to acquire properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This experience enabled him to become acquainted with properties all over the metroplex and to better understand the intricacies of the local real estate industry. 

John Paul grew up in Irving, and attended the North Hills School in Las Colinas. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, John Paul established a lawn care service in the Irving area at age 12 and continued to operate his business through his college tenure. His business operations that facilitated his attendance to Texas A&M instilled both a solid work ethic and a dedication to customer service that enables him to better serve his clients needs.

John Paul, his wife, and their son reside in Irving. John Paul is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys soccer, running, rock-climbing, and working out. John Paul and his wife are also actively involved in their church.
